COVID-19 Compliance

We are determined to keep our staff, members and guests (when permitted) as safe as possible as we reopen following the COVID-19 lockdown period.

We have carried out a full and detailed risk assessment of our operation with regards to COVID-19 – a copy of which can be found below.

Following the government’s latest restrictions we have made the following arrangements for socialising at the Club.  We hope you understand the need for us all to accept and comply with the latest rules as not doing so will subject us to potential fines.

  1. Face masks must be worn whilst in the club apart from when seated at a table. This also applies to children over the age of 11.

  1. You should not approach the bar on arrival but go straight to a table and sit down. Hand sanitising and washing is still encouraged upon arrival and at regular times during a visit.

  1. You must sit at tables in groups of no more than 6. No physical mingling is allowed between these seated groups. Once you are seated at a table you must remain with that group for the duration of your visit. Whilst face masks can be removed whilst seated, they must be worn when visiting the toilets or anytime not seated.

  1. Snooker is still available. Covid rule is indoor sports are OK with up to 6 players without masks but masks must be worn if leaving the snooker room for toilets.  Players must not approach the bar and balls/drinks will be delivered by Kevin on receipt of a text.  His number will be posted at the Snooker Room.

  1. Orders for drinks will be taken by staff/authorised helpers at the table. At least one member of the group will need to give their member’s card to be swiped at the till for track and trace reasons. By entering the club you agree to us collecting this information for NHS track and trace purposes.

  1. Drinks will be delivered to your table and payment taken via contactless card if at all possible. The card machine will work at all locations in the club. Cash payments are also acceptable.

  1. Tables can be booked as usual for food. Small disposable paper menus will be available on each table during food service. Once a group has left a table it will be cleaned and a new menu provided if necessary.  Each table will be numbered to assist with service.

  1. Last orders will be rung on the bell at 9:20pm and then time will be called at 9:30pm. You will have until 9:50pm to finish your drinks.  The building will be closed and locked at 10:00pm.

Quiz night

  • The Sunday quiz will now start promptly at 7:45 and be finished by 9:30 in line with the new closing time.
  • Play Your Cards Right winners must sanitise their hands before handling the cards and can either play seated without a face mask or standing socially distanced with a mask. The same applies for the other games.
  • Ticket sellers will operate as usual wearing face masks etc.
  • We will be selling bingo dabbers rather than loaning these.
  • All other arrangements are as listed in 1-10 above.
